Be Prepared

Also in this chapter: Key Considerations ~ Financial Suggestions

Whatever May Happen

As a kid I learned the scout motto, "be prepared".  Although quite a few people give some attention to this, many others do not.

Issues To Think About
Who is sure of what will happen tomorrow, let alone next week, next month or next year?

Do you wonder about the increased amount and severity of storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, fires and earthquakes?

What will happen with our economy? Do you think the government will change? Are ET's here? How will life be different?

As you think about the next few years, there are an astounding number of possible scenarios.

We are sinking into an economic depression unlike anything most people alive have ever experienced. The ticks are expecting riots and rebellions over jobs, taxes and food.

They are prepared to deploy troops in the U.S.; and they are planning to take guns out of the hands of the population, allowing themselves to reign over a once free people.

With the direction the TICK is attempting to move us, it is wise to arrange your affairs to be able to survive and get by in potentially challenging times. You would be smart to have a household plan.

Here are some of the main areas of life for which it is advisable to make adjustments and preparations:

food, water, shelter, heating, cooking, lighting, currency, barter, transportation, communication, financial assets and security.

It is important to consider and realize what your sources or dependability for these are currently. Most of us obtain these items as provided by the corporate system

Begin NOW to think of alternative sustainable sources.

Earth Changes
We must be prepared for disturbances in the earth as best we can, and any difficulties that could arise in our own area.

Consider moving at least 100 miles from a coastline and being prepared for an extended period without electrical power, heat and other utilities.

It would be wise to store a long term supply of food and water on hand.

The supplies in our grocery stores could be gone in one or two days if people think that new deliveries may be suspended.

If the power is out for the area, there may be no pumps to deliver water. Having a supply already on hand to consume could be very valuable.

Make plans to avoid, to prevent and if needed, to treat contagious diseases in case there is no access to medical personnel.

It is important to be mindful that when a horrible mass tragedy does occur, it is not only happening to some remote people we don't know, it is happening to US.  We are all in this together.

The value of caring for one another must be lifted above the fear of scarcity and the drive to get money, food or fuel.

Self-Sufficiency
Despite the fact that most of us have been dependent on external corporate sources for the essentials our entire lives, we cannot assume these will continue to be readily available.

As examples, do you know anyone whose job was suddenly eliminated? Can you think of someone who had to move out of their home due to foreclosure?

What if your heating bill, mortgage payment or other bills were beyond your ability to pay them?

Think about the people whose lives have been disrupted by a natural disaster. In many cases they had no power and no running water for a long time. A great number of people soon ran out of edible food and water.

Some who had evacuated and were unable to return home, quickly exhausted their fuel, cash and food, and had no place nearby to get help.

If there were a major disturbance from weather, terrorism, rioting, gang wars, rampant crime and/or a government lockdown or a mandated evacuation, would you be ready?

It is crucial to develop independence from the corrupt institutions attempting to control our lives and become as self-sufficient as possible.

What preparations would help you be more self-sufficient so you could get through it if the system wasn't working for a time?

Key Considerations

Plan And Prepare
These are actions to consider in preparatory planning:

~ accumulating and rotating a few months supply of easily prepared, palatable, nutritious foods, especially:

nutrient dense foods such as flaxseed, amaranth and whole grains; sproutable seeds and beans; and a super foods mix rich in antioxidants, enzymes and pigments such as cereal grasses, spirulina and pollen

~ storing and rotating a few months supply of purified drinking water, using colloidal silver, oxygen drops or alcohol for antiseptic treatment before drinking any long-stored water

~ procuring a gravity fed or hand pumped water purifier that can remove dirt, chemicals, parasites and bacteria from any source of water

~ having tools to accomplish needed tasks, including a multi-function pocket tool, items needed for home repairs, gardening tools, automotive tools and supplies, and a generator powered by gasoline or an alternative energy source, etc.

~ growing as much of your own food as possible in a "victory garden" like people had during World War II

~ developing skills of dehydrating and canning foods

~ obtaining a food dehydrator and preparing a winter supply of dried vegetables, herbs and fruits

~ sprouting seeds and beans and growing vegetables in cold frames, a green house or indoors

~ organizing first aid and natural health support for minor injuries and illnesses, including herbal supplements and homeopathic remedies

~ gathering a supply of candles, flashlights, batteries, solar lamps, oil lamps & oil, lighters, matches, etc.

~ possessing an off-the-grid heating source, such as a wood stove or a kerosene or fuel oil heater, with a winter supply of fuel

~ maintaining as many valuable useable and tradable items as possible, for example:

edible seeds and grains, garden seeds, building materials, tools, utensils, containers of all sizes, blankets, clothing, first aid supplies, appliances that operate without electricity, bicycles in good repair, spare tires, tents, sleeping bags, firewood, and any of the items mentioned above

~ arranging for protection from damage of any items of significant personal value, such as pictures and memorabilia (eg., store them in a water proof, fire proof container or location)

~ disengaging from the financial marketplace by converting dollar-denominated paper assets such as stocks, bonds, options, certificates of deposit, bank accounts, etc., to gold, silver, gems and other valuable storable commodities held in your possession

(NOTE: Take this action to the degree you are comfortable with it. Anything of great value that is easily portable should be placed in a secure location that you can get to quickly in case of an emergency evacuation.)

~ purchasing a stash of 1964 and earlier U.S. silver metal coins and possibly some gold coins, which may become a separate and more valuable means of exchange in a time of extreme economic distress

(NOTE: most coins minted after 1964 and paper dollars do not have the intrinsic value of silver and gold.)

~ developing mutual support plans with friends and neighbors, such as shared gardening, protection from thieves, etc.

~ forming a cooperative for agreeable members to mutually obtain food and other supplies, to assist each other with major tasks, and to share in the procurement and use of key equipment

~ preparing a survival kit of portable food, water, first aid items, tent, sleeping gear, fire materials, valuables and a nearly full tank of gasoline for quick travel in an emergency

~ although I am an advocate of peace and non-violence, I think you should be aware that many people are purchasing guns and ammunition for self-protection. These are rising in price, and ammo will probably be an even more highly sought commodity as things worsen.

Emergency Action
You and your family or core group should have a plan of action and reorganization in case of a problem.  You should have a local gathering place, such as a home that can accommodate all of you.

An evacuation plan is a good idea, including a meeting point outside of a potential crisis zone. Consider a time frame, items to bring and a destination, should there be need to quickly get away from your area.

Establish an out of town phone contact for messages and mutual  communications in case of local service disruption.

Have a "go kit" ready, including a few days worth of water and food, plus first aid items and basic tools, such as a Swiss Army knife, vice-grips, and a small axe or hatchet.

An LED head lamp is a very useful item for many tasks. You can have good light on your work or your path, hands free. It can run a good while on AA batteries.

First aid supplies should include ACE bandages and tape, needles and thread for clothing repair as well as suturing if needed, and colloidal silver as an antiseptic.

Alternative Ways Of Earning
It would be a good idea to develop a reliable home business of your own as a cushion for possible job loss or financial difficulties.

Keep in mind ideas of reselling marketable goods or services suitable for a period of a transitional or rustic lifestyle, such as storable foods, tools, equipment, silver and gold; and teaching strategies of self-sufficiency.

Probable growth sectors during the depression will be music and entertainment (as people seek temporary relief from their concerns); whole healthy foods, good nutrition and alternative methods of healing; new more efficient energy technologies; and self-sufficiency strategies and resources.

Financial Suggestions

During Deflation
It looks like we are moving into a serious depression. We have been experiencing a period of deflation, lower prices of many goods and services as we saw initially in home values and more recently with gasoline.

During deflation, it is best to minimize spending and pay off debts quickly, as the currency has become more valuable. Cash is harder to come by to make purchases and to pay off debts. Beyond necessary purchases, in a deflationary time customers tend to wait to buy something until the price goes down more.

It is usually more difficult to borrow in a deflationary time, as lenders have less funds to loan, unless depositors place substantially more money in their savings accounts.

Actually, it is a good idea to build savings in a time of deflation, but the dollar could be rapidly devalued by government mandate or a currency replacement.

If deflation were to continue for a long time, it would wipe out many more of those who are highly leveraged with debt, as we have seen with the mortgage foreclosures in the down market for homes and with the jobless people who are overextended on credit card debt.

However, deflation will not last. Prices can only go down so far; only so many workers can be laid off; and other costs can only be cut so much.  At a certain point, a merchant must have a selling price high enough to make money or they will go out of business.

During Inflation
Eventually inflation will resume as the government is pouring money into the economy through their various bailouts, recovery stimuli and assistance programs. TICK institutions are and will probably continue to be the main beneficiaries of the government money machine, however.

In a time of inflation you don't want to save much cash money; nor should you pay off debts early, nor even try to become debt free!

Smart borrowing is the way to succeed in inflation.  Use debt for going into business, expansion of business, and/or to accumulate valuable assets that will increase in value more than the interest on the loan:

gold, silver, gemstones, storable food, nutritional supplements, herbal health products, seeds for growing food, tools, and perhaps high quality real estate bargains and special situation stocks and bonds of dependable companies.

Watch for gasoline, home and other prices to start going up again. If you have not done so already by then, move out of dollars and dollar denominated assets as rapidly as possible.

General Suggestions
It is wise at any time to have a balanced financial "ark" of diversified assets. The array should be heavily weighted with items that will always be valuable.

The most important real estate to have is a place to live that will be safe and dependable, and with adequate land to grow a good amount of food.

Make your home as energy efficient as possible, preferably set up with alternatives for heating, cooking and water. Trees that can provide wood for fuel would be a plus.

Do not borrow for useless or frivolous things. Borrow at the lowest interest possible, and if inflation is greater than the interest rate, take your time to pay off the loan.

In any case, reposition high interest credit card debt to lower interest debt as much as possible.

If necessary, the lower interest debt could be backed by assets such as real estate or stocks (when their fall is over), which will rise again in prices with major inflation.

Some of those deep in debt may find it in their best interest to file for bankruptcy. That is a course to follow for people with assets to protect, such as a home or investments.

If you don't have assets that a lien can be placed on, there is no need for bankruptcy. Just pay your creditors as best you can. The institutional creditors can wait or go unpaid if need be.

Your priority during financial difficulties should be maintaining a roof over your head with rent or mortgage payments, and keeping utilities functioning.

Silver & Gold
Silver may be the best "store of value" asset beyond necessities during inflation. It is much more consumable than gold; not as much of it is produced; the supply of it is going down; it has never been confiscated (as gold was in the 1930's); and silver has more room to move from its current price.

A great deal of silver is consumed in manufacturing, and not much of it is being produced from mines anymore. The world supply used to be over two billion ounces. It is now about 300 million ounces.

Major wealthy investors are stockpiling silver themselves. Very soon, it will probably be harder to obtain that it is already.

The prices of silver and gold have been held down artificially by TICK manipulation. They have been short selling spot market futures options at a loss.

With the expected hyperinflation and/or changeover of currency, silver is very likely to zoom up in price even more than gold.

With just a few thousand dollars placed in physical silver now, you may be able to buy a home without even borrowing after the economic chaos subsides.

After the housing market stabilizes, when a median priced home sells for less than 40 ounces of gold or 500 ounces of silver, it will be time to sell gold or silver and purchase real estate.

If you have availability of substantial cash, there are special situations of foreclosed homes at a super discount even now.

Packages of 100 + foreclosed homes at a time are being sold by mortgage holders to brokers who resell them as is to investors. Also, many of these homes are available to rent at a low rate if you need a place to live.

Be Careful
It is not my intention to raise fear. Nonetheless, it would be prudent to be careful in your travels and activities. There may be more robberies, more drunk and drugged drivers, and more crazed people during the serious circumstances that are developing.

Mutual Support
Get together with friends and plan ways to support each other through any difficulties that may arise. Form an economic cooperative for bulk buying. Grow food together. Set up a mutual protection system.

Buy and invest locally. Support local small businesses, artists, musicians, craftsmen and service providers.

Meet with other local groups to discuss and make plans for strengthening the community's economy and helping the less fortunate. Take action to prevent and reduce crime.

Organize communication with your area's state and U.S. legislators for them to learn about the TICK and do what is necessary to stop and reverse the undermining and takeover of our nation by elite fascist controllers.

Most importantly, attune to the creative power of the universe we call God. All differences, fears and disturbances are resolved in the real and unlimited love of God.
