Jon has been a researcher, educator, speaker and consultant in life improvement, natural health, personal growth and success since the 1970's. He has educated thousands of people through his seminars, lectures and consultations.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts (1969) with honors in economics from Ohio University; a Master of Arts (1972) in religion with emphasis in psychology, particularly the work of Carl Jung; and a Master of Divinity (1973) specialized in counseling, from Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Connecticut.
Jon was listed in the 1972 edition of Outstanding Young Men In America for his work with children and young adults in the inner city. He worked for a church that was part of a coalition of downtown churches in Hartford.
Natural health became important in his work as Jon studied yoga and relaxational breathing, iridology, kinesiology, organic agriculture, herbs, nutrition, water, magnetics, homeopathy, enzymes, etc.
Over the years, Jon has been a founder and leader of numerous organizations, including a college fraternity chapter, an urban coffee house arts program, an urban neighborhood children's program, a church, a natural foods cooperative, a holistic health center, a publishing company, several musical groups and theatrical productions, three health products companies, and several websites.
In an interesting adventure through the economy, Jon's unusual array of work experiences have included for varying lengths of time: trainee in finance at a giant corporation, Teamster Union freight dock worker, factory worker, farm worker, substitute teacher, basketball referee, director of music and arts programs, minister, professional counselor, natural health consultant, singer & musician, actor, author, speaker, financial planner, business owner, storekeeper, internet marketer, corporate officer, non-profit corporation board president and, yes, salesman! (including used cars, fuel and energy saving products, health products, water purifiers, legal services, collection services, bank card processing, investments, insurance, mortgages and advertising).
He is also a poet, a philosopher and a songwriter. Since his youth in the folk music era of the 1960's, Jon has entertained thousands as a singer with his rich baritone voice, his acoustic guitar, and his many carefully-crafted and meaningful songs.
He has penned a participatory educational musical play for children, titled The Town Of Goodness; with other musical projects in the works.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Jon is the father of three children, now successful, healthy young adults, who were raised with a natural health diet and lifestyle.
Jon has met and learned from many of the best-known and respected teachers and leaders in the fields of personal growth, arts & culture, natural health, business and success. He has gotten to know and understand people from nearly every walk of life.Jon has been a popular guest on radio and television, and has spoken and performed music before many groups, organizations churches all around the country.
Since writing for several cultural publications in the 1970's, Jon has edited and published various newsletters: Wellness Notes (1981-85); LifeLines (co-editor 1993 to 1997), The SCOOP (a newsletter for Akron's Cooperative Market, 2001-2004), and ReallyWell NEWS, an e-newsletter.Jon has pursued a spiritual understanding of human life and consciousness from early in life. He has studied the wisdom teachings, traditions and literature of all the ages; and he has been privileged to meet and learn from a variety of consciousness explorers and spiritual teachers from around the world.
Jon's commitment is to serving people with helpful, effective information and services for improving their lives.
